Thanks in advance for anyone that is willing to help.Įvery time I try to play a Single Player game on Star Wars: Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy it says:Į:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\assets3.pk3 (16 files)Į:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\assets2.pk3 (62 files)Į:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\assets1.pk3 (8320 files)Į:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData\base\assets0.pk3 (15346 files)Į:\Program Files\LucasArts\Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy\GameData/base If anyone has had this problem and knows how to customize the TNT2 video card so it stops doing this please e-mail me at or message me on AIM at IamYevis The game is legally bought so it’s not a pirated copy problem. I never had this problem with Jedi Outcast. I don’t understand why this is happening. I d/led the lated drivers for my video card and the latest version of DirectX and still it crashes. I also can’t play the single player game because it crashes at a certain point. I think it’s an error with the graphics because it happens when I try and ride a ton ton or speeder bike in Multiplayer when admins summon them. The game runs fine and all, but sometimes it crashes and I get the error message that an error had occured and the games suddenly has to close. even though the graphics of Jedi Academy have very small improvement over jedi outcast (meaning they look almost identical).I am having a problem with Jedi Academy as well. and now they are using Jedi Academy as a benchmark and its around 50fps (max). So i guess my question is why is it slow, since its using a slightly enhanced version of the Quake 3 engine that it was using in Jedi Outcast.Īnd i know its not only me cause if you saw benchmarks of high cards awhile back, they used Jedi Oucast and on average every card was around 190fps. but when theres alot of characters onscreen then there a slight slow down. I dont have JO downloaded rn, so Im looking at JA, but that should still be the right location and filename. This will reset your settings to default and fix the resolution issue. I mean dont get me wrong or anything, it runs smooth (i have a feeling its running at 25fps). For players and fans of the Star Wars: Jedi Knight video game series (Dark Forces, Dark Forces II, Jedi Outcast, and Jedi Academy). so i go to setup set the res at 10X7 and same thing for everything else. The file should contain the following lines: seta rcustomwidth '1980' seta rcustomheight '1080' seta cgfov '90' seta rmode '-1' vidrestart You might have to experiment with the cgfov value a bit until it feels right for you. So here i am just bought Jedi Academy all happy and hyped (Star Wars fan. Create a new textfile called autoexec.cfg in your Jedi Academy GameDatabase folder. ![]() This was mainly due to the fact that it was using the Quake 3 engine, which is quite old. and dispite all that seeing benchmarks of Jedi Outcast on a Geforce FX was quite shocking due to the fact that they were in the 150's. Alright i had been playing Jedi Outcast around 2months ago and i rememeber having the resolution set at 1024X768 and very thing else at the highest possible setting. ![]()
